The new CLARA Center for neurodegenerative disease research kicked off in the Czech Republic on 13 November 2024. CLARA will lead the development of next-generation applications using computational modelling, and quantum computing to advance research in neurodegenerative diseases, focusing on Alzheimer’s disease.
Vít Vondrák, the managing director of IT4Innovations National Supercomputing Center, has been appointed as the Head of the testbed to ensure a computing and data environment, including the integration of quantum computers.
At the kick-off meeting of the CLARA project, Vít Vondrák and Jan Martinovič presented a design of a testbed architecture based on the LEXIS Platform 2 to provide the computational and data resources for the project, including the quantum computers.
